Engaging diverse communities

The Network of Executive Women is committed to an inclusive industry and diverse Network. Since 2004, we have published special reports and held meetings and conferences on multicultural issues, including the NEW Multicultural Workforce Conference (2009-2011) and the NEW CPG Retail Diversity Forum (2012). In 2014, the Network launched its NEW Inclusion Initiative to increase engagement on D&I issues and published its landmark “Tapestry” report on multicultural women’s leadership in the retail and consumer goods and services industry.

Inclusion Initiative

The purpose of the Network’s Inclusion Initiative is to embed and reflect diversity in the Network’s leadership, learning programs, events, regional groups, outreach and content. To recruit and engage new, diverse members. To help our corporate partners achieve full diversity and inclusion. And to ensure all our efforts reflect the diverse communities we serve, including men, Millennials, women of color and the LGBT community.

This work is relevant — and urgent. Today, more than one-third of all women in the U.S. are multicultural; by 2050 more than half of all women in the U.S. will be multicultural.
